(VOVworld) - An exhibition titled “Story of the market” has been opened at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum. At the exhibition, markets of the past, present and future are vividly depicted through dimensional photos of buyers and sellers. VOV reporter Le Phuong takes you there.

(VOVworld) – 21-year-old Phan Huy Bach has returned to Hanoi, his birthplace, after 8 years studying abroad. He was accompanied by Marina Berezovikova, his Belarusian girlfriend who is studying economics. Marina was very excited because it was her first visit to Vietnam. The couple spent a day searching out Bach’s childhood memories. Reporter Phuong Lien accompanied them on their trip.

(VOVworld) – The unique festivals of all the 54 ethnic groups across Vietnam have been held at the Culture-Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups on the outskirts of Hanoi. This special event featured the cultural characteristics of each ethnic group and the unity of the Vietnamese people.

(VOVworld) - Along with migrants from across Vietnam, “don ca tai tu” or amateur singing has been brought to Vietnam’s south-western sea together with other types of traditional art forms. Fishermen often sing “tai tu” songs to ease their tiredness after a long working day as well as their homesickness. For that reason, amateur singing clubs were established on Phu Quoc Island and warmly welcomed by the local inhabitants.

(VOVworld) – The northern mountainous province of Lai Chai is home to 20 ethnic groups with Lu people mainly inhabiting in the Sin Ho and Tam Duong districts. The spiritual culture of the Lu is diverse with many special customs. The most typical is Cam Muong, the hamlet - worshiping festival, which is held annually from the beginning of the first month to the early third month of the lunar calendar.

(VOVworld)- The ritual of worshiping the Kitchen God on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month is an indispensable tradition in Vietnam. This year, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology recreated the ritual to introduce it to visitors, especially younger generations and foreign visitors.

(VOVworld) – H’ Mong ethnic people of the northern mountainous provinces welcomed the New Year 2014 with colorful activities. On the 1st of January, after rituals to commemorate their ancestors at home, H’ Mong people, young and old alike, in their beautiful dresses, flocked to festivals celebrating the New Year.

(VOVworld) - Returning home from the war in Vietnam, many US veterans had to turn to therapy to heal the wounds of their souls. The images of the war still haunt their daily lives. It is a mental illness called “Vietnam syndrome”. An organization named “Soldier’s Heart Initiative” was established to help American war veterans relieve their pains.
