(VOVWORLD) - The Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) has named Binh Duong province among the world’s top 7 Intelligent Communities with a typical smart city development strategy for 2023. ICF gathers a list of nearly 200 prosperous smart cities worldwide. Binh Duong’s efforts are recognized for their economic transformation towards innovation and digitization.

(VOVWORLD) - Krong Bong, a remote district of the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, has more than 50 schools with about 20,000 students. Most of the students belong to ethnic minorities that include the Ede, H'Mong, and Muong. Their teachers teach them, give them meals, and call on their parents to keep sending them to school.

(VOVWORLD) - Beside its long standing culture and history, the southern province of Binh Duong is famous for its traditional crafts such as ceramics, lacquerware, wood carving, and rattan weaving. Well-known brands include Lai Thieu pottery, Tan Phuoc Khanh pottery, Xua pottery, piggy bank making in Thuan A, the Dai Hung kiln, Tuong Binh Hiep lacquerware, Chanh Nghia wood carving, and the Ba Nhat bamboo and rattant weaving cooperative. In recent years, Binh Duong has focused on applying emerging technology and digital transformation, while preserving and promoting traditional crafts for tourism and economic development.

(VOVWORLD) - Japan’s Kansai TV has cooperated with VTC Digital Television of Voice of Vietnam to produce a reality TV documentary entitled "Vietnam-Japan: the age-old connection in culture" to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. The 60-minute film, which tells the story of the friendship between the two countries, was shot at scenic and cultural spots in several provinces and cities of Vietnam and Japan.

In the border areas of Thua Thien-Hue province, local authorities and schools have collaborated with the border guard to organize many activities to help disadvantaged pupils to start a new school year. "Helping children to go to school" program has been carried out effectively over the last 7 years.

In recent years, the protection of forests in four mountain districts has been acknowledged as a breakthrough in Ha Giang and the right direction in forestry development, reducing poverty, conserving resources, and restoring a green color to the karst plateau.

(VOVWORLD) - The Hanoi-based National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology has successfully nurtured many premature babies weighing only 500 grams at 24 to 25 weeks gestation. Most recently, a baby boy, born at 25 weeks of gestation, weighing 600 grams, with necrotizing enterocolitis and intestinal stenosis, was saved. The baby had to stay at the hospital for treatment for nearly 5 months. This success, once again, proved the professional level, skill, and dedication of Vietnamese obstetricians.
