(VOVWORLD) - After months of a stringent lockdown to fight COVID-19, HCM city, Vietnam’s epicenter, has begun to resume economic activities under 'new normal' conditions. VOV’s correspondent in HCM city has the story.

(VOVWORLD) - Various support programs have been being implemented to help people in Hanoi following a months-long social distancing period due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

(VOVWORLD) - The rapid growth of Vietnam’s economy has been driving up energy consumption at an extraordinary rate. The government has implemented various policies to ensure that Vietnam is on track to meet its increasing energy demand while lowering greenhouse gas emissions and strengthening climate resilience. If Vietnam is to achieve these goals, international cooperation and support in the energy sector must play an important part. This week, VOV interviewed Ann Marie Yastishock, USAID Vietnam Mission Director, about US support through the Vietnam Low Emission Energy Program.

(VOVWORLD) - On top of vaccination for people, HCM city has paid special attention to ensuring social security to overcome the consequences of the fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic. It has launched the third COVID-19 relief package worth more than 320 million USD, the largest ever of its kind, to support the poor and disadvantaged people so as to leave no one behind during the coronavirus crisis.

(VOVWORLD) - This year, Vietnamese children will celebrate a special mid-Autumn Festival because of the COVID-19 epidemic. There will be no large gatherings to attend banquets, lantern processions, or art performances. Every community and family is expected to conduct its celebration in a way that complies with epidemic regulations.

(VOVWORLD) - During the ongoing fight against the coronavirus pandemic, many individuals and businesses in Son La province have donated food to people on duty at COVID-19 checkpoints and in quarantine areas. Border hamlets have set up quarantine tents to receive citizens returning from epidemic hotspots. Everyone wants to contribute something to the national epidemic effort.

(VOVWORLD) - Thousands of military personnel have been deployed to support the COVID-19 fight in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s biggest epidemic hotspot. The armed forces are protecting the lives of local residents and their dedication is making people feel more secure and confident of defeating the pandemic.

(VOVWORLD) - On September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence to announce to all Vietnamese people and the world a free, independent Vietnam. 76 years have passed and the emotions of that National Day have been passed from generation to generation as an endless source of inspiration.

(VOVWORLD) - Rain or shine, day or night, community-based teams for COVID-19 response in the mountain district of Moc Chau, Son La province, are conscientiously monitoring travel in and out and keeping locals informed of current epidemic regulations and preventive measures. They have proved a truly helpful force in pandemic prevention and control in Son La.

(VOVWORLD) - As the current wave of COVID-19 worsens, localities in Vietnam are making plans for the 2021-2022 school year that take into consideration the local pandemic situation.
