Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Hoang Viet Phuong asked the local administration and organizations to strengthen the care, education, and protection of children, promote their right to participation, and create a safe, healthy environment for them.

Lai Chau Province organized an event to honor schoolchildren who have overcome difficulties to achieve outstanding academic results in the 2023-2024 school year. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Tong Thanh Hai said that nearly 75% of local disadvantaged children receive care from the State, family and community and enjoy an equal opportunity to grow. Hai called on sectors, organizations and individuals to continue to help poor children, especially those living in especially difficult circumstances.

At a similar event in Nam Dinh Province on Tuesday, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Vu Kim Danh called for public support for nearly 5,000 disadvantaged children and more than 2,400 living in poor households in the province. The event’s organizers presented 50 scholarships and 50 bikes to needy children.

In Ninh Thuan, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Long Bien promised to take stronger measures to improve awareness and action by the community toward care and protection of children, with a focus on poor and ethnic minority children.
