But my answer is Dan Do, a zither instrument crafted entirely from indigenous bamboo, even its strings. How was it created, how does it sound, how is it played, and overall how is it different from other bamboo musical instruments? Let's find out!

(VOVWORLD) - For centuries, classical music, characterized by its complexity, depth, and emotional range, has been performed in majestic theaters often adorned with exquisite chandeliers, plush velvet seats, and elegant details. The association between classical music and grand theaters is deeply rooted in the historical development of both art forms. Theaters such as the Vienna State Opera, La Scala in Milan, and the Royal Albert Hall in London, or the Hanoi Opera House have become iconic settings for performances of symphonies, operas, and other classical works. In Vietnam, the appreciation of classical music has taken a unique twist – far from the conventional setting, individuals indulge in the timeless melodies while leisurely sipping a cup of tea. This experience artfully unfolds within a special project called “Schubert in a Mug” which began three years ago.

(VOVWORLD) - Founded in 2014 the Cheo 48H Club has been a regular venue for young people to meet and share their passion for folk music and art. The Club has organized training classes on traditional theatrical arts and spread the love for folk art among young people and to the wider public. Today’s “Sunday Show” introduces a Quan Ho singing class at the Cheo 48H Club and takes a look at the Club’s activities to row against the tide to popularize traditional music.

But 71-year-old award-winning, master photographer Do Anh Tuan said, a great photo has to move people to their core. And sometimes, that means closing your eyes and opening up your heart.

(VOVWORLD) - There are various ways to approach a culture. Observing how people react to their surrounding environment and its physical objects is one way to learn about the culture of a community. Vietnam is a culturally diverse country that is home to 54 ethnic groups, making it a magnet for many foreigners including Mark Rapoport, an American antique researcher and collector.

(VOVWORLD) - Stage puppetry is an art form in which the expression, gestures, and actions of hollow puppets are manipulated by people. There are different forms of stage puppetry: stick puppets, rod puppets, string puppets, hand puppets, and finger puppets. In Vietnam most puppetry plays are based on folk tales or excerpts of traditional theater performances. This week’s “Sunday show” will feature Meritorious Artist Nguyen Ho Thuy Tien who has a great passion for stage puppetry and has made efforts to bring the art genre to the world.

(VOVWORLD) - This summer the Centre for the Promotion of Vietnam’s Intangible Cultural Heritages is organizing “Xam for families” sessions, which are customized to suit groups of families, children, and adults. “Xam” singing is a traditional art form which originated in Vietnam’s northern region hundreds of years ago.
