(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam became the 158th member state of the Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhumane or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (Referred to as the Convention against Torture, or CAT Convention) in 2015. Vietnam has adopted several measures to implement the Convention, showcasing its determination and consistent policy in ensuring human rights.

(VOVWORLD) - After several rounds of revisions, the draft revised Land Law now has specific policies to ensure land for community activities as well as policies on land allocation, land rent, and land use for ethnic minority people in disadvantaged areas. National Assembly deputies insisted that the revisions will address the shortage of residential and productive land and help improve the living conditions and ensure the sustainable development of ethnic minority regions.
