The report’s sound assessment of Vietnam’s position and strength clearly affirms the Party’s strong political will to lead the nation through all challenges.
Strong will, development aspirations, and political resolve
Political will is reflected in the aspiration for rapid, sustainable, autonomous, and prosperous development and in the determination not to accept backwardness and remain outside the mainstream of the times. Political will is clearly expressed in the viewpoint of placing people at the center, as the subject and goal of development. Development is not merely about increasing economic indicators. It’s about improving the quality of life, ensuring social equity, and leaving no one behind. This is the close link between Vietnam’s development goals and the humanistic values of its development path.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, said: “This is the Congress during which we reaffirm the foundation, the basis, and the conditions for realizing the aspirations of our people. The General Secretary’s message renews confidence and aspirations while emphasizing breakthroughs and action. This is a call to action to forge unity within the Party and consensus among the people to achieve our goals.”
Vietnam’s development is driven by science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, is based on an independent, self-reliant, green economy closely linked with deep and broad international integration, and is boosted by steadily improving human resources and national governance capacity.
Journalist Mikhail Kostrikov of Russia’s Pravda newspaper, said: “The leadership of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is committed to continuing the country’s development. I believe the achievements gained over the past 40 years, since start of the renewal policy, will ensure Vietnam’s successful development. I and many other Russians hope so. I wish our Vietnamese friends great success in this endeavor.”

A call to action
The Political Report reaffirms Vietnam’s strategic vision to 2030 and calls for decisive implementation. Master Ha Trung Thanh said: “The speech embodies a strong spirit of renewal and calls for robust and substantive change, truthful speaking and acting, and real economic, political, social, and cultural results. It reflects the nation’s aspirations and underscores strategic autonomy, self-reliance, resilience, and confidence in the path chosen by the Party and the people.”
Dr. Nguyen Huu Son was particularly impressed by the spirit of “looking straight at the truth” in the General Secretary’s speech and the guiding principles of combining steadfastness with renewal, and harmonizing national strength with the power of the times.
“The speech at the opening session of the 14th National Party Congress is a strong call, demonstrating a strong determination for action, discipline, and robust renewal. The spirit throughout the speech is the requirement for substantive development, placing the people at the center, and affirming that the people are the beneficiaries of all development achievements. This is the foundation for the country to seize and realize historic opportunities in the new stage of development,” said Mr. Son.
With a direct, clear, strategic approach, the Political Report rekindles confidence and expectations for a new development phase in which Vietnam confidently ascends to higher levels of development and integration.
