The 10 fan zones in the host cities recorded up to 5.8 million fans gathering before the final. Dutch fans in orange jerseys flooded the entire city of Dortmund, or Scotland supporters marched through Stuttgart with bagpipes and drums. Of-course on the spotlight are the players on the pitch. But on the stands and on the streets, fans also enjoy themselves and create a community festival.

"The atmosphere in the German stadiums and on the streets shows how much football unites people," wrote former Germany international Euro 2024 tournament director Philipp Lahm on X.

The tournament has an average of 2.28 goals per match, many of which are long-range masterpieces. Just after the group stage, the number of goals scored in the final minutes of the match was 10 goals, double the entire number of last-minute goals of Euro 2020 and soon breaking the record of 9 goals of Euro 2016.

The technological side of the host Germany is evident. Semi-automatic offside technology is accurate to the millimeter. Snickometer shows the officials the precise moment a ball was touched. Euro 2024’s official ball, the Fussballliebe, uses 'connected ball' technology, and is fitted with a motion-sensing microchip which tracks every touch at a rate of 500 times a second.

Also at this tournament, a new generation of stars debuted. Spanish player Lamine Yamal's super goal against France will definitely go down in history. At the age of 16 years, 11 months and 27 days, the Barcelona striker broke the 20-year record of former Swiss international Johan Vonlanthen to become the youngest player to score in Euro history. England team is proud of Kobbie Mainoo. At 19 years and 82 days, Mainoo became the youngest player to play for England in the semi-final of a major tournament.

The list of extraordinary young men must also be added to the two attacking superstars born in 2003 of the host Germany, Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala, or one year older than this duo, Nico Williams of the Spain team.
