Stratfor, a US-based global geopolitical intelligence platform, commented that the Congress is expected to adopt core political and economic priorities for the next five years, focusing on a high growth trajectory, targeting annual GDP growth of at least 10% during the 2026–2030 period.
Stratfor noticed that the Congress’s draft documents have elevated diplomacy and international integration to “key and regular tasks,” on a par with national defense and security. It means Vietnam considers foreign relations as a vital pillar closely linked to political stability and economic development.
International media have paid particular attention to the Congress’s placing the fight against corruption, wastefulness, and negative practices at the center of its agenda.
The Al Jazeera website quoted Party General Secretary To Lam’s speech at the Congress, emphasizing the determination to intensify anti-corruption efforts, viewing this as a consistent requirement to strengthen Party discipline and integrity, as well as the effectiveness of State governance.
