The Koh Santepheap Daily wrote that cooperation in trade, investment, and tourism remains a bright spot in bilateral relations. Two-way trade reached 11.33 billion USD last year. Vietnam is Cambodia’s third-largest trading partner, after China and the US, and Cambodia’s largest trading partner in ASEAN.
The two sides are striving to soon raise bilateral trade to 20 billion USD. They are working closely at regional and global forums, including at the United Nations, ASEAN, ASEAN-led mechanisms, and Mekong Subregion cooperation frameworks, thereby enhancing each country’s prestige and position in the region and the world.
The “Kampuchea Thmey Daily” reported that the visit reflects the strong political determination of the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries to steer relations toward substantive and effective development, aligning with developmental needs and the long-term strategic interests of each country.
