Czech Republic donates 142,800 USD for Vietnam's flood recovery

(VOVWORLD) -President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil on Thursday presented a symbolic aid package of 3 million CZK (142,800 USD) to the Vietnam Red Cross Society to help recovery efforts following the 2025 storms and floods in Hoi An (Da Nang) and Hue.

Vystrcil said the aid reflects the good cooperation between the two countries and sends an inspiring message to the international community: through cooperation, we become stronger.

Receiving the aid from the Government and people of the Czech Republic, President of the Vietnam Red Cross Do Thi Thu Thao said that this is not only timely material support for the people of the central region but also a profound symbol of solidarity, friendship and international humanitarian spirit between the people of the two countries.

The Red Cross hopes that the Senate of the Czech Republic will continue to pay attention to and create conditions for the Vietnam Red Cross and the Czech Red Cross to strengthen cooperation, moving towards establishing a sister relationship between the two societies in the near future, she added.
