(VOVWORLD) - The State Records and Archives Department has opened an exhibition space introducing Vietnam’s world documentary heritages and outstanding national archival documents.

At the centre of the exhibition space is a modern media space of digitized archival documents and interactive multimedia products. The zone of Vietnam’s world documentary heritages and outstanding national archival documents allow the public to explore, search, interact and learn from original archival materials through interactive screens and information search tools.
Furthermore, the Vietnamese Archival Profession space is designed to honor generations of archivists who have silently preserved, protected, and passed on national archival documents and heritage throughout history.

Dang Thanh Tung, Director General of the State Records and Archives Department, said, “National archival documents are a particularly important source of original historical records, reflecting the history, culture, governance, and development of the country through different periods. Among them, the Nguyen Dynasty Woodblocks and the Nguyen Dynasty Imperial Records, two world documentary heritage collections inscribed by UNESCO, are sources of pride and invaluable assets of the nation."
"We hope this place will become a cultural destination, a ‘visual history classroom’, and an open learning ecosystem serving diverse audiences, from students, researchers to the general public,” Tung said.
The exhibition will officially open free of charge to visitors from 9AM to 4PM on weekdays starting March 3 at No 12 Dao Tan Street, Hanoi.
