(VOVWORLD) - The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is drawing strong international attention and extensive coverage from global media outlets.

Russia’s financial and economic news portal at 1prime.ru reported that the ongoing Party Congress is focusing on discussions and approval of Vietnam’s socio-economic development strategy through 2030, along with issues related to Party organization and personnel.
According to the Russian news outlet, the top priority of the CPV over the next four years is to realize its strategic goals of becoming a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle income by 2030, laying the foundation for the next strategic breakthrough, and advancing toward the goal of becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045.
A bulletin of the Liberation Front of Mozambique (Frelimo), the ruling party of Mozambique, highlighted the atmosphere of solidarity, optimism, and celebration in Hanoi in the days leading up to and during the opening of the Congress. Frelimo said that by hosting the 14th National Party Congress, Hanoi continues to reaffirm its role as the nation’s political and cultural center, contributing to the promotion of solidarity among the Vietnamese people.

Granma, the official organ of the Communist Party of Cuba, published a commentary titled “Vietnam Laying the Foundation for a Period of Strategic Autonomy,” which said the Congress sets the stage for a new phase of development grounded in autonomy, self-reliance, and adaptability to global fluctuations.
Juventud Rebelde (Rebel Youth), the official newspaper of the Young Communist League of Cuba, said that, under the Party’s leadership, today’s generations of Vietnamese are no longer haunted by bombs and bullets, but are instead focused on building a happy, developed, and humane country.
In a commentary titled “The Strategic Nature of the CPV’s 14th Congress in the New Era” published in ReporteAsia, Dr. Ruvislei González Saez, Deputy President of the Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Association, said Vietnam’s vision for 2030 and 2045 reflects its aspiration for sustainable development, in which economic growth is closely linked with social justice, human development, and long-term stability. From the perspective of a scholar and foreign affairs activist, he said that Vietnam’s success serves as an important source of inspiration for Latin American countries striving to safeguard their sovereignty and pursue independent development paths.
