(VOVWORLD) - Senior leaders of Cuba, Russia, Japan, and Belarus have sent messages and letters of congratulations to Party General Secretary To Lam on his re-election.

In his congratulatory message, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez highly praised Vietnam’s historic achievements over 40 years of the Đổi Mới (Renewal) process. He expressed confidence that under the wise leadership of General Secretary To Lam, the Party and people of Vietnam would continue to make steady progress in building socialism, advancing toward a new stage of development that is more prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the voting results reflect General Secretary To Lam's strong political standing and the profound recognition of his contributions to shaping and implementing Vietnam’s strategic development guidelines.
The Russian President emphasized that Russia highly values General Secretary To Lam's personal role in strengthening the Vietnam–Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. President Putin expressed his hope that the two leaders would continue to expand comprehensive cooperation for the benefit of both peoples and for peace, stability, and security in the Asia–Pacific region.
In his letter to General Secretary To Lam, Chairman of the United Russia Party Dmitry Medvedev highlighted Vietnamese Party members’ high level of trust in General Secretary To Lam, which he said reflected their recognition of the General Secretary’s outstanding contributions to Vietnam’s prosperity and its growing international prestige. Dmitry Medvedev expressed confidence that, with his extensive political experience, General Secretary To Lam would continue to make effective contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic development.
President of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party and Prime Minister of Japan Takaichi Sanae conveyed her belief that, under the leadership of the new collective leadership, Vietnam would play an increasingly prominent leadership role in shaping a new era of development for Vietnam, contributing to stability and development in the Indo-Pacific region and the world.
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that the unanimous re-election of To Lam as General Secretary by the Communist Party of Vietnam's Central Committee is a clear evidence of his significant achievements in leadership, affirming the Party’s and the Vietnamese people’s confidence in the country’s socio-economic development in the period ahead under the Party General Secretary’s leadership.
