Hanoi Old Quarter expands Spring Flower Market
(VOVWORLD) - This year, the Hanoi Old Quarter's Spring Flower Market is expanded to Hang Khoai, Hang Ruoi, Hang Ma streets, and Phung Hung mural street, instead of just Hang Luoc street as in previous editions, Hoan Kiem ward People's Committee said.

The flower market is open to the public from 8AM to 10PM everyday from now till February 16 (the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month, the year of the snake).
Phung Hung mural street, a highlight at this year's event, has been redecorated and features a big board game model and 30 booths made from bamboo and rattan. These booths showcase handicrafts, folk paintings, and craft village products. There are a number of cultural and artistic activities, including "Xam" singing performances, calligraphy, workshops for making Chung cakes, "to-he" figurines, Dong Ho folk paintings, horse models, and 3D models made from chocolate, among others.

With the exception of Phung Hung street, this year, booths are restricted to the sidewalks for easier flow of traffic. There are separate zones for the flower market, craft village product showcase, and folk art space. Ornamental tree and flower displays are set up along Hang Luoc street. The Hang Luoc-Hang Ma intersection has been redecorated to mimic the look of old Hanoi markets. The Hang Luoc-Hang Khoai junction is dedicated to showcase different varieties of Da Lat orchids.
