(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Chi Minh City, the local authorities, and socio-political organizations will work together to hold Tet care activities with a total budget of more than 225.3 million USD.

At the conference in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday, Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the VFF Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the Tet activities will be organized in 168 residential areas and public places, expected to attract more than 200,000 participants.
A wide range of activities will be held such as decorating “Tet Street Corners,” making banh chung (square sticky rice cakes) and banh tet (long sticky rice cakes), spring flower festivals, cultural and artistic performances, solidarity meals, tree planting and environmental protection activities, and a contest “Tet Street Corners – Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026.”
The city-level “Solidarity Spring – Compassionate Tet” Festival of Ho Chi Minh City is scheduled to take place at Dam Sen Cultural Center, with the participation of around 10,000 people. The event will feature diverse activities, ensuring the spirit of a “Cultural Tet – Compassionate Tet,” in a dignified, safe, economical, and effective manner.
