(VOVWORLD) - The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) plays an indispensable role, not only in Vietnam’s national development, but also in promoting peace and prosperity for the international community, says a Japanese politician.

House of Representatives member Yamaguchi Tsuyoshi, who is also Director-General of the International Bureau of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), told a VOV correspondent in Tokyo, that amid complex and rapidly evolving global developments, the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam holds profound significance for Vietnam’s development in the new era.
He said: "The Communist party of Vietnam holds a pivotal position in shaping a new stage of development, particularly in education, infrastructure, and human resource training. In the current context, strengthening training in information technology and artificial intelligence is especially important, alongside economic development. In these areas, Japan and Vietnam have strong potential for effective cooperation. Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam have close relationship. Both sides should continue to work closely together."
Yamaguchi Tsuyoshi voiced his wish to establish shared perspectives with the new leadership of the CPV, contributing jointly to peace and prosperity in the Asia–Pacific region.
