(VOVWORLD) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has expressed confidence that the outcomes of Vietnam’s 14th National Party Congress would contribute to shaping the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

Minister Sergey Lavrov made the statement at a press conference reviewing Russia’s diplomatic activities in 2025 on Tuesday, in response to questions about expectations for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
On the same day, the website of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (kprf.ru) and Russia’s Rossiyskaya Gazeta published articles on the Congress, praising Vietnam’s determination to transform development with the people placed at the center.
Rossiyskaya Gazeta also noted that many major orientations of Vietnam's 14th National Party Congress aim to improve human-resource quality, develop education and culture, and encourage dynamism and creativity.
