(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy in China hosted a gathering on Monday for overseas Vietnamese there to celebrate the Lunar New Year and strengthen ties with their homeland.

The Vietnamese Consulate General in Cambodia hosted the “Spring in the Homeland 2026” program in Preah Sihanouk, bringing together people of Vietnamese origin living in six southwestern coastal provinces of Cambodia.
Tran Van Nam, Chairman of the Preah Sihanouk branch of the Khmer-Vietnam Association in Cambodia, said, "the community here has received strong support from the Consulate General, the Vietnamese Party, and the government, which helps us move forward."
"We closely follow developments in Vietnam and are encouraged by its progress in the economy, diplomacy, and social stability," he added.
A “Love for Tet” gala was held in Australia on Monday, with children from multiple countries taking part. According to organizer Hoang Thi Thu Thuy, the event provided a cultural and educational space for overseas Vietnamese children to learn more about traditional Vietnamese values and practice their Vietnamese.
