PM Chinh said that Vietnam remains steadfast in its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification and multilateralisation; being a good friend and trustworthy partner of all countries, and a responsible member of the international community, for the sake of peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world. He added that diplomacy has been identified as a key and regular task.
The PM voiced his hope for continued support and cooperation from international friends to jointly realise the shared vision: a sustainably developing Vietnam, a closely connected ASEAN, a prosperous and integrated Asia, a peaceful world, and humanity advancing in equality.

Prime Minister Chinh said: “The Year of the Horse 2026 marks the starting point of a new era of development for Vietnam, with a century-long vision toward building a strong, civilized, prosperous, and happy nation that advances rapidly and steadily on the path to socialism. In Vietnamese culture, the Horse symbolizes constant movement, perseverance, and the aspiration to go fast and far, yet sustainably; while Bính, meaning fire, represents light, life, passion, and new development energy. Every new beginning requires decisive action, which must be guided by firm resolve and steadfast innovation in thinking, shaped by a strategic vision, and driven by the spirit of “looking far ahead, thinking deeply, and acting on a grand scale.”
The Prime Minister expressed his hope that Ambassadors and Heads of Representative Offices of international organizations in Vietnam would uphold their role as bridges, further strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between countries, international organizations, and Vietnam in a more substantive and effective manner. He called on them to join hands in promoting the spirit of unity to build strength, cooperation to generate resources, and dialogue to foster trust.
