Vietnam and the United Kingdom established diplomatic relations on September 11, 1973, with the UK among the first Western nations to do so. Over the past five decades, the friendship and cooperation between the peoples of both countries have continued to flourish.
The official visit by Party General Secretary To Lam coincides with the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam–UK Strategic Partnership (2010–2025). It marks an important milestone and provides an opportunity for both sides to review their cooperation, highlight key achievements, and set new directions for advancing the partnership in the coming years.
