The assessment is based on factors such as affordability, the concentration of lesser-known experiences, and average weather conditions.

“There are many things to love about Hoi An. Its Old Town serves as the city's beating heart, with lantern-lined streets, historic buildings, and eye-catching landmarks like the Japanese Covered Bridge (Chùa Cầu),” Travel + Leisure said.

The list also includes Da Nang of Vietnam, Brugge of Belgium, Essaouira of Morocco, Chefchaouen of Morocco, Calabria of Italy, Paros of Greece, Cambridge of the UK, Belgrade of Serbia, and Cascais of Portugal.
