PM arrives in Hanoi, concluding his official visit to Russia

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation landed in Hanoi on Thursday morning, concluding a three-day official visit to Russia.

During the trip, Prime Minister Chinh and the high-level Vietnamese delegation had a packed schedule of nearly 30 activities.

The Prime Minister met with President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Speaker of the Senate Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, and Secretary of the Security Council Sergei Shoigu.

Through the talks and meetings with Russian leaders, both sides reached a high level of agreement on the need to further deepen political trust and mutual understanding between the two countries and peoples, based on the existing foundation of traditional friendly relations.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin jointly witnessed the signing ceremony of an agreement between the two governments on cooperation in building a nuclear power plant in Vietnam. This historic milestone marked the official restart of Vietnam's nuclear power program.
