Visiting and presenting gifts to encourage the forces currently constructing Phu Quoc International Airport, Prime Minister Chinh asked the contractor to accelerate the project's progress, while ensuring technical and aesthetic quality, safety, and environmental hygiene. He urged them to mobilize personnel, equipment, machinery, and additional subcontractors to work throughout holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year) and take advantage of the dry season to meet deadlines.
The Prime Minister requested that Phu Quoc International Airport be built in line with "greening the airport, digitizing the airport, and optimizing airport efficiency".
Also on Wednesday morning, Prime Minister Chinh attended the groundbreaking ceremony for two projects. They are Bai Dat Do (Ruby Beach) mixed-use urban area and the Ong Quan Mountain mixed-use eco-tourism and urban area. At the projects’ groundbreaking ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said, “The ‘5 transformations’ of Phu Quoc Special Zone are greening, digitalization, optimizing unique potential and advantages, smartening, and managing and governing in harmony with the people’s interests. The 4 ‘no's’ include not wasting a single day, not delaying opportunities for a week, not missing opportunities for a month, and not being passive for a year. The 3 ‘yes's’ are contributions from the state, contributions from businesses, and contributions from the people.”
