Tet gifts delivered to disadvantaged people in Son La
(VOVWORLD) - The Military Science Academy has launched a program called “Spring at the Border 2026” in Chieng Son and Long Sap commune, Son La province. Under the program, 800 gift packages worth 53,000 USD have been presented to policy beneficiary families, disadvantaged households, and underprivileged students while additional gifts have also been sent to local agencies and schools.

Major General Nguyen Dinh Trung, the Academy’s Political Commissar, said the program aims to support border communities and strengthen civilian-military ties. Major General Trung said: "The Spring at the Border program has deep political, social, and humanitarian significance. It embodies Party guidelines and State policies on caring for citizens in Vietnam’s border areas as the Lunar New Year approaches."
Le Trong Binh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Chieng Son commune, said: "The program delivers material support and also conveys compassion, solidarity, and the close bond between the military and the people, showing deep care for people in border areas. The gifts presented to poor and near-poor households and policy beneficiary families will help them enjoy a warmer and more fulfilling Lunar New Year."
