Meeting at the NATO Summit in Washington, the two emphasized the importance of obtaining a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas that will release the hostages, end the conflict, and reaffirm the commitment to a two-state solution. The two leaders also hoped to strengthen economic and climate cooperation for a prosperous and sustainable future.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock reaffirmed their support for Ukraine and discussed efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire that will secure the release of hostages and ensure increased deliveries of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
