The monument is made of mirrored stainless steel and measures about six meters tall and 13 meters around, with a hollow design and a heart-shaped cutout visible in natural light. The tear represents mourning, while the heart symbolizes compassion, community support, and the dedication of healthcare and frontline workers. The project was completed in 90 days with contributions from multiple architects.

COVID-19 Memorial Park was built to honor the combined efforts of Ho Chi Minh city authorities and residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. The investor has proposed four possible alternate names for the park: Life Park, Tomorrow Park, Unity Park, and Aspiration Park.
