(VOVworld) - A photo exhibition to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United Kingdom (1973-2013) opened in Ho Chi Minh city on Friday.
The exhibition was opened in Hanoi last week.
Featuring 100 photos, the exhibition reflects the development of diplomatic relations and friendship between the two countries which have created a foundation for today’s successful strategic partnership.
Douglas Barnes, the UK Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, said: “We’ll organize various activities in this year to mark the 40th anniversary of our relations with the theme of “Inspire, learn, and innovate”. We hope that this exhibition of the past relations will inspire the development of people to people link to strengthen our partnership in the future.”
Images of British traditional culture, ancient architecture, friendly and hospitable people, captured by either professional or amateur photographers, paint a vivid picture of Britain from the past to now. The photo exhibition will run until October 12.
