In the family and the community, seniors are respected for their role in connecting past and present generations. Today’s seniors contributed their youth to national liberation, construction, and development.
June 6 is observed as Vietnam Day of Older Persons. In response the Vietnamese government has created incentives for elderly people: social beneficiary policies, reduced ticket prices and service fees, and a longevity celebration.
