The new cases were reported in 62 provinces and cities across the country, with the capital Hanoi registering 837 infections.

The total caseload since the beginning of the pandemic has now reached 1,443,648.

1,060,436 patients have been given the all-clear and 28,333 have died.

Over 58.6 million people across the country have been fully inoculated.
