The new infections were reported in 37 cities and provinces with 5,549 cases in HCM City, 4,531 cases in Binh Duong province, and 880 cases in Dong Nai. Hanoi logged 35 new cases.

On Thursday, 12,525 COVID-19 patients fully recovered. 272 patients died.

By Thursday, Vietnam has reported 576,096 COVID-19 infections, 338,170 of them recovered and 14, 470 died.
