APEC 2027, to be hosted by Viet Nam, will feature a wide range of activities throughout the year, including 5 Senior Officials’ Meetings (SOMs), 8 Ministerial Meetings, and the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in Phu Quoc, An Giang province with major events such as the Joint Ministerial Meeting on Foreign Affairs and Economic Affairs, the APEC Business Summit, and the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said Viet Nam had twice hosted APEC in 2006 and 2017, and therefore has valuable experience to organize APEC 2027 more effectively.

“APEC 2027 is an international responsibility that we undertake with APEC members. It will be a valuable opportunity for us to promote Viet Nam’s image to the international community and generate many opportunities for economics and development, and new momentum for Phu Quoc Special Zone and for An Giang province.”

Members of the Subcommittee contributed opinions on the communications roadmap to ensure timely promotion of APEC 2027 activities domestically and internationally. VOV’s Deputy Director General Pham Manh Hung said that this is a major event bringing together a large number of delegates from APEC’s 21 member economies. He stressed the role of media outlets with multilingual channels and publications, such as VOVWorld, which broadcasts in 12 foreign languages.
