PM hopes Vietnam, China ramp up cooperation for co-development

During a reception in Hanoi for Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei, Prime Minister Chinh expressed his desire for the two countries to continue strengthening solidarity, consolidating trust, and ramping up comprehensive cooperation for joint development.

The Prime Minister proposed that both sides strive to boost bilateral trade in a balanced and sustainable manner and maximize access for Vietnamese agricultural, aquatic, and livestock products. He stressed the need to create breakthroughs in strategic infrastructure connectivity; give high priority to railway cooperation to connect the two countries with Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Europe; further cooperation in energy, finance, and banking, as well as in culture and tourism.

Ambassador He said the Chinese Party and State value and give high priority to relations with Vietnam in their neighborhood diplomacy. China is ready to work with Vietnam to maintain regular high-level strategic exchanges, continuously deepen substantive cooperation in various fields, and contribute to elevating the China-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Shared Future Community to a new level of strategic development.
