More than 300,000 new cases and 4,500 deaths have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.

The UK had the highest number of new cases, with more than 30,000 new infections, while Russia recorded the highest number of deaths, 890. The US, India, Brazil, Russia, France, and the UK are the world’s epidemic hotspots.
