Speaking in Moscow on the sidelines of a visit to Russia, Araghchi said Iran and the US previously held five rounds of negotiations and had planned to convene a sixth round on June 15, but an unexpected attack by Israel, followed by the involvement of the US, disrupted the negotiation process.
According to Araghchi, Iran is prepared to return to negotiations with the US but will not accept the imposition of conditions. Iran is willing to provide assurances regarding the peaceful nature of its nuclear program, similar to the commitments outlined in the 2015 nuclear agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Iran believes all options now depend on the position taken by the US, he said.
