At the same time, US President Donald Trump announced that Washington is holding productive discussions with Tehran and will refrain from military action ahead of the US midterm elections on November 3. The US will, however, continue to maintain its blockade and economic pressure on Iran.
According to The New Arab on Thursday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said Tehran has outlined its conditions for ending the conflict on all fronts and establishing security in the region and the Strait of Hormuz. He said Iran will convey its response to US proposals through mediators.
