The delegation comprised representatives from Phuc Linh Investment and Trading Co., Ltd., Food Force Co., Ltd., and Japan’s Aseed Holdings Group.

Thai Nguyen has 22,000 hectares of tea plantations and produces 275,000 tons of fresh tea buds a year, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Loan told the delegation. The province has trademarked its tea in 6 countries and territories, including Japan, and ensures traceability with QR codes on its product packaging.

Local authorities look forward to long-term partnerships with foreign businesses and will facilitate investments in factories and production lines for deep-processed tea to bring Thai Nguyen tea to Japan and other markets, said Loan.

The visiting business representatives said their companies are interested in matcha products that have competitive prices, are traceable, and meet the requirements of key markets like Japan, the US, and China. They asked the province to obtain the certifications required by importers.
