Exports earned nearly 22 billion USD, up 30%, and imports totaled 16.2 billion USD, giving the province a trade surplus of 5.8 billion USD.
Thai Nguyen has now reached 66.7% of its annual export target and ranks 5th among Vietnam’s 34 provinces and cities in export value, after Bac Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Tho, and Hai Phong.
FDI companies continued to lead the province’s exports, with more than 21.1 billion USD, 96% of total exports. Exports by domestic companies reached 847.7 million USD, up more than 90% year on year and already above the full-year target.
Strong exports in the first 7 months and a 5.8-billion-USD trade surplus put Thai Nguyen on track to maintain export growth in the rest of the year and meet its 2026 economic growth target.
