After being elected, Prime Minister Hung took the oath of office.
“Under the sacred national flag, before the National Assembly, the people and voters, I, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, swear absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, the people and the Constitution, and pledge to fulfill all tasks entrusted to me by the Party, the State and the people,” he said.
In his inaugural address, the PM affirmed the commitment to building a modern, enabling and people-centered government.
”Achieving GDP growth of over 10% per year during 2026-2031 is essential to realizing the country’s strategic goals. The Government identifies science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation as key breakthroughs and the main drivers for developing modern productive forces and enhancing productivity, competitiveness and strategic autonomy. We will promote the state sector’s leading role while developing the private sector as the most important driving force,” he said.
The National Assembly also elected Nguyen Van Quang as Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court.
