According to the National Steering Committee 515, as of Tuesday, 360 sets of remains had been recovered in Vietnam, 174 in Laos, and 850 in Cambodia. In Tuyen Quang province, authorities recently discovered five martyrs' graves containing an estimated 23 sets of remains.
A significant breakthrough was made at Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City, where investigators uncovered a mass grave containing 69 individual sets of martyrs' remains, 23 personal artifacts, and one mass grave that is still undergoing forensic examination and verification.
Alongside recovery efforts, DNA sampling has been expanded nationwide. More than 52,000 martyrs' graves have been sampled so far, with over 37,000 meeting technical requirements for DNA analysis, accounting for more than 71 percent of eligible graves.
