The visit took place as traditional friendship and the Vietnam-Myanmar Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership have made new progress, contributing to strengthening political trust and creating fresh momentum for more substantive and effective bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the two peoples and the development of both countries, as well as to peace, stability and development in the region.
During the visit, the two countries’ leaders agreed to direct their ministries and agencies to actively implement the common understandings reached, ushering the Vietnam-Myanmar Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership into a new phase of deeper, more substantive and effective development.
The two sides said they would work to meet the interests and aspirations of their peoples and make positive contributions to peace, stability, cooperation and development in Southeast Asia and the wider region.
