Speaking at the banquet, Mr. To Lam said Vietnam and Myanmar share a long-standing and enduring friendship that has been preserved and nurtured by generations of leaders and people.
He expressed confidence that, with the determination and joint efforts of both sides, the Vietnam-Myanmar Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership will make new, more comprehensive, effective and substantive progress fully tapping the potential and strengths of both countries and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and beyond.
President Min Aung Hlaing said Myanmar attaches great importance to its traditional friendship with Vietnam and pledged to further strengthen bilateral ties and business connectivity through a bilateral economic forum, ahead of the 10th anniversary of the Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership in 2027.
Earlier the same day, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly and Mrs. Kyu Kyu Hla visited Van Phuc Silk Village in Ha Dong ward, Hanoi.
