The two leaders agreed to strengthen political trust and promote high-level and other exchanges, while expanding cooperation through Party, State, Government, parliamentary and people-to-people channels. They also called for the early resumption of key cooperation mechanisms to create fresh momentum for the Vietnam-Myanmar Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership.
The two sides agreed to further promote defense and security cooperation and make it a pillar of bilateral ties.
Regarding economic, trade and investment cooperation, they said the two countries have significant potential for complementary cooperation and agreed to explore measures to increase bilateral trade and review and update commitments and agreements on trade, investment and customs.
They also agreed to expand cooperation in infrastructure connectivity, air transport, education, culture, people-to-people exchanges and local-level cooperation.
On regional issues, the two sides shared support for the peaceful settlement of disputes in accordance with international law, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.
