During the session, lawmakers are expected to pass 15 laws and four resolutions, while giving initial feedback on seven draft laws before they are finalized for consideration at the National Assembly's second session.
The National Assembly is advancing a more proactive legislative approach, working closely with the Government to remove institutional bottlenecks, unlock development resources, and create stronger momentum for economic growth. Lawmaking is increasingly focused on building a stable, transparent, and effective legal framework that facilitates development rather than hinders it.
The Government and relevant agencies are reviewing laws and decrees, substantially cutting business regulations and administrative procedures, and expanding development spaces for localities.
Nguyen Manh Hung, a full-time member of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee and a deputy representing Can Tho City, insisted that the National Assembly has worked closely with the Government on institutional reform.
“We have revised and adopted numerous laws and resolutions to remove obstacles and create a more streamlined legal framework,” Hung said, adding, “But the key challenge now is implementation. As administrative procedures are simplified and greater authority is delegated to local governments, the effectiveness of ministries, sectors, and especially local authorities in carrying out these reforms will determine whether we achieve our double-digit growth targets in the years ahead."
