During the meeting with the Cambodian NA President, the two leaders agreed on several cooperation directions, including maintaining exchanges to share experiences in legislation, oversight, and national decisions, while further enhancing the role of both parliaments in strengthening bilateral relations.

At the meeting with the Timor Leste’s Parliament Speaker, Chairman Man congratulated Timor Leste on becoming ASEAN’s 11th member to be announced at the 47th ASEAN Summit in October 2025. He affirmed that Vietnam always supports and is ready to share best practices with Timor Leste in its integration into the ASEAN family.

Speaker Maria Fernanda Lay said Timor Leste’s Parliament has ratified the agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders, expressed her hope for Vietnam to soon open an embassy in Timor Leste, and thanked Vietnam for its cooperation in ensuring food security.
The two leaders agreed to strengthen parliamentary cooperation and exchange legislative and institutional reform experiences for improving parliamentary activities.
