The races wrapped up the week-long Oc Om Boc Festival of the Mekong Delta, which enhances unity among the Kinh, Khmer, and Chinese people living in the region.

The festival included an agricultural fair, a fashion show featuring traditional Khmer costumes, a street food festival, and a Khmer floating lantern festival.
