At a meeting with Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing in Hanoi on Saturday, Mr. Man welcomed the results of the Myanmar leader’s talks with Party General Secretary and State President To Lam.

President Min Aung Hlaing reaffirmed Myanmar’s commitment to preserving its traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam and expressed hope for continued Vietnamese support for Myanmar’s national development.

The two leaders agreed that parliamentary diplomacy plays an important role in bilateral relations by strengthening political trust and promoting and overseeing the implementation of high-level agreements.

They agreed to increase exchanges and experience-sharing between the two legislatures, their committees and parliamentary groups, while effectively implementing their cooperation agreement and monitoring the implementation of high-level agreements, thus contributing to stronger Vietnam-Myanmar Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership.
