The visit marked the first major high-level multilateral diplomatic engagement of the Party and State of Vietnam following the 14th National Party Congress. During the trip, the Party leader held exchanges with leaders of several countries. He met President Trump, received US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, held phone talks with US lawmakers, and met members of the Vietnamese community in the US.

Vietnam’s participation in the Board of Peace aims to help end the conflict in the Gaza Strip, protect civilians, ensure safe and unimpeded humanitarian access, rebuild essential infrastructure, and promote a credible political process toward long-term and sustainable peace in the Middle East.

The visit underscores Vietnam’s increasingly proactive and substantive foreign policy, highlighting its commitment to peacekeeping, a stable international environment for development, and active contributions to global efforts.
