Mr. Cuong expressed his belief that the Vietnamese community in Egypt will continue to uphold their patriotic spirit, together build a strong and united community, respect local laws, integrate well into the host country’s society, and contribute to Egypt’s development as well as the relationship between the two countries. He called on them to preserve the Vietnamese language and cultural traditions for future generations.

The President asked the Vietnamese Embassy to enhance its support for the Vietnamese community in Egypt, helping them better integrate into local society and build a united, strong, and thriving community.

“We will hold talks with the President and meet with the Prime Minister, the Speakers of the two Houses and other agencies of Egypt. We are determined to make substantive and effective progress in bilateral relations. We’ll propose Egypt to support and create the best possible conditions for the Vietnamese community studying and living in Egypt and enjoy better living conditions,” said Mr. Cuong.

Also on Monday, President Luong Cuong and his wife toured the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a monumental cultural landmark of Egypt in the 21st century. Vietnam always reveres the brilliant civilisation of the Arab world, he said, citing the millennia-old epics, philosophy, and poetry that have captivated generations of Vietnamese. Egypt’s distinctive cultural identity and timeless values of wisdom, courage, and justice, he added, continue to inspire and enrich global civilisation. On the occasion, he gifted a replica of Vietnam’s Ngoc Lu bronze drum, a cultural icon, to the museum.
