The visit provides an opportunity for the two sides to exchange views on regional and global issues and discuss ways to further develop the Vietnam–Laos great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation through more substantive and effective cooperation.
During the visit, Prime Minister Hung is scheduled to hold talks with his Lao counterpart, witness the signing of cooperation agreements, and co-chair the Vietnam-Laos Investment and Trade Promotion Conference. He will also meet with Laos’s General Secretary and President, and the President of the Lao National Assembly.
The Vietnamese delegation will lay a wreath at the Monument to Unknown Soldiers and join the Lao Prime Minister to plant a commemorative tree at the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Park.
They will also attend the launch of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship University project and the handover of Laos’s population database system, visit Lao Star Telecom, and meet Vietnamese embassy officials and the Vietnamese community in Laos.
